Privacy Policy

We collect the following kinds of information:

• Account information. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Firebase Authentication, a Google service) processes details such as your email address and a unique account identifier.
• Quest content. The inputs you provide to create a quest - such as a theme, a child's first name or nickname, age range, and interests - along with the stories and artwork generated from them.
• Usage and device data. Basic analytics about how the Service is used, such as pages viewed and approximate device or browser information, which help us understand and improve the product.

QuestWink is intended to be set up and managed by an adult parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The information used to personalize a quest is provided by the adult account holder, who is responsible for ensuring they have the right to share it. The child-facing "play" experience is designed to minimize data collection and does not ask children to create accounts or submit personal details.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us at support@questwink.com and we will take steps to delete it.

We use the information we collect to:

• generate, deliver, and manage your quests;
• operate, maintain, and secure the Service;
• understand usage and improve features, content quality, and safety; and
• communicate with you about your account, including support requests.

We rely on trusted third parties to operate QuestWink, and your information may be processed by them on our behalf:

• Google Firebase / Cloud. For authentication, data storage, hosting, and serverless functions.
• AI model providers. Quest inputs are sent to AI providers to generate story text and artwork.

These providers are subject to their own privacy and security practices. We share with them only what is needed to provide the Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers described above, when required by law or to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition (in which case we will continue to protect your information consistent with this Policy).

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which we take steps to delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and gather basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work properly if you disable them.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, or to request deletion of your account and associated quests, contact us at support@questwink.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
